DRAPING

On the same time while I was testing out the print, I started to do some draping to see the possible contour of this project. I used the ribbing fabric I want to experiment with the laser cutting machine and also the heat press machine.

I did some draping playing with the circular shape that confused the wearer where to put out their arms, just as how memory might confuse us in a space.

I started to wrap the fabric around the body to portray that layering and distortion forms covering us like how our memory and physical space surrounded us.

I also used the scanning shapes as inspiration to freely cut out the fabric and reconstruct them together.

I wanted to take these shapes construction as inspiration to further develop them into the final pattern that is less messy.
